Studio Mihel Architects was founded in 2023 by Alexander Mihel, who studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy School of Architecture in Copenhgen, specializing in spatial design, architecture and interior design. Before starting his own practice, Alexander worked as an architect at Mette Lange Architects, gaining valuable experience in the field. Alongside his architectural projects, Alexander designs furniture in India, creating a strong link between furniture design and architecture.

At Mihel Architects, we believe in the power of restraint. Our architecture is guided by the principle of just enough—just enough material, just enough effort, and just enough thought to create buildings that are beautiful, enduring, and deeply rooted in place.
We’re not interested in newness for its own sake. Instead, we look for what feels familiar—forms, proportions, and atmospheres that resonate with memory and feel inevitable, as if they’ve always been there. We’re inspired by structures that carry a collective memory.
Our architecture aims to be clear, quiet, and grounded. It avoids overdesign and expensive materials in favor of the everyday, the honest, and the long-lasting. With simple means, we create places with a strong presence—architecture that is felt rather than explained.
